KEEPIN' IN TOUCH <orange>IS IT THE END OF OCTOBER ALREADY?? My oh my, how the time does fly! I, for one, am happy to have some cool mornings and evenings, after one of the hottest summers I can remember in a long time! Don't know about you all, but I'm finding I tolerate the heat less well than I used to be able to. . . could it have something to do with age? I've always thought age was, for the most part, a state of mind and the older I get, the more convinced I am of this.

Something about Fall makes me want to reflect - maybe its because it's the end of one season and the beginning of another one. Maybe it's becaue I want to look back and see what I have accomplished thus far this year, business-wise, personally and otherwise. But, looking back at this year, the event that stands out and really dominated my thoughts for three months, was the loss of one of my dearest friends She was diagnosed with cancer in June and passed away at the end of August, which followed her prognosis almost to the day.
She approached her diagnosis as any astute business person would approach a business transaction; she set about getting her affairs in order. Her attitude about having a time frame was tha, this way, she had the opportunity to get everything handled the way she would want it. She asked me to help her with her affairs, and to work with the trustee in the settlement of personal things afterwards. She was a strong and dignified woman to the end, and I will miss her for a long time.
I hope that you will not find this narrative about my friend morbid, but instead take from it that Every Minute Counts with friends and family; we don't always have a chance to get our affairs in order!
IT'S A GOOD LIFE
